1. What is convergence culture?
Convergence Culture is a blend of old and new technologies allowing all forms of technology to overlap.
2. What are the implications of convergence culture for education?
In education this can be used for enhancing lesson plans to allow even those students who do not have the technologies at home to get that opportunity.
3.How are schools limiting kids' access to digital tools? Do you agree with these policies? Why or Why not?
Schools limit the use of internet to strict educational sites, blocking youtub and social networking sites. Schools also prohibit ipods, mp3 players, and cellphones. I know these would be useful in a classroom, and how I don't know how a school could put these to good use without the students taking advantage of it.
That is the trick isn't. How can teachers manage student's use of these new tools to ensure they are being used for educational purposes? Good question!
